In some suburban areas of Hanoi, in the districts of Chuong My and Quoc Oai, after the breakdown of dykes and heavy rains, flooding level is on top of the house, leading to severe environmental pollution and danger of many diseases for residents. Nam Hai Village, Nam Phuong Tien Commune (Chuong My, Hanoi) was flooded more than a week ago. According to local people, many areas are flooded to 5-7 meters. Many areas of Chuong My and Quoc Oai district are still living with floods. Flooding level is continue to increase in some parts of the district. In the photo is the flooding on the inter-district road connecting Chuong My with Quoc Oai these days, many vehicles passing through this route forced to move in another direction. Many of the vehicles passing through this area were drowned.
According to Mr. Dinh Manh Hung, Chairman of Chuong My District People's Committee, there has been nearly 1,300 hectares of rice, more than 260 hectares of vegetables, 555 hectares of aquaculture, 164 hectares of fruit trees damaged by floods; 1700 m2 of houses, nearly 1,500m of walls, 3,300m of landslide were collapsed; nearly 9,400m damaged canals, nearly 9,500 dykes, lakes, dams are landslide; 33 bridges, dams were broken; 339 cattles were died; more than 49,000 poultries were lost and died; nearly 4,900m2 of breeding facilities were damaged.
